“I cannot exercise,” “It is too hard to exercise.” I have heard such excuses all my life from people… and as someone who has exercised intensely all his life… I tell these people this: I cannot explain to someone who has not pushed the limits of their strength and endurance to its limits over and over again… what it feels like to live in a body that is in “Great Shape.” It has to be experienced.
You know what it is like… If you never smelled a rose and I tried to explain to you in words what a rose smells like… I just couldn’t. The smell of the rose has to be experienced… It cannot be explained in words. So I cannot explain to a person who has never pushed their body to its limits; what it feels like to be in “Great Shape.”
I am hoping I got your interest so far. Now lets see if we can get to another insight about working out. People need “Reasons” to do things. We do everything because we have “Reasons” for doing everything. “Reasons” are the ultimate causes of our actions. We go to school for reasons, we get jobs for reasons, we marry for reasons.
So for all of those people who cannot exercise; listen up… I am first going to prove that the reason you cannot exercise is because you don’t have a “Good Enough” reason to exercise… Here is the proof: If I came to your home every morning at 6:00AM and had a gun in my hand and I put the gun to one of your family members head and said to you “If you don’t get up now and exercise, I am going to pull the trigger,” you would get up and exercise… there is no doubt about it… So lets get this thing understood… It is not that you “Cannot” exercise… It is that you don’t have a big enough “Reason” to exercise…
So the questions become philosophical in nature. Is it possible to create a “Big Reason” to exercise? What are the “Big reasons” for those who diligently work out everyday? Most are not aware of their “Reasons” but they all have them. The trick is to create your own “Big Reason” to get your ass out of bed and exercise… And there is a way to do that…
